Ramblings

While living in New Mexico, we enjoyed traveling the back roads and exploring. Often times we would come upon the long forgotten treasures of the past. Ghost towns that once thrived with life now abandoned and vanishing into the ever present blowing dust. We came across an old homestead that was a really beautiful dwelling and piece of land. Farm equipment and old vehicles were everywhere that were once used to carve out the hard existence of the folks that lived here. Wind and dust ever present, it must have been a real struggle for even the heartiest of souls to survive. On the porch, I noticed this old simple chair. It lead me to pause and think of how many times this chair was sat upon contemplating the accomplishments of the day, the pondering of future plans and coming tho the sad conclusion it was time to simply leave it all behind to vanish in the dust.... Enjoy stay warm and most of all, keep shooting!
