Off the wall

18th Annual Bullarama Rodeo, held in Chilili, New Mexico on July 28,2013 I like to shoot the rides from chute to corral in order to capture all the action. Its easy to get competitors coming out of the chute but there is always so much more if your on your toes and fast. Eight seconds or less is all you get.

We called her Blue Eye. She had a few issues with attitude which made her a perfect candidate for bronc riding. After she soundly bucked her rider, she proceeded full speed into the arena fence, and bounced off, knocking herself out for a few seconds. She then got up like a cat with nine lives and gingerly pranced away unharmed as if she does this all the time.

Enjoy and Keep Shooting!
